Why should I use Abacus Club Manager?

Simplicity

Club Manager contains only the most basic elements necessary to run a club. Very little time is required to get up and running with this software. Member information can also be exported to DOS text files for use in other software.

Cost

Because Club Manger has been kept simple, it is much less expensive then many other club management software packages which offer similar functionality. Unlike some software which includes many features you are not interested in, you pay only for the functionality you are actually going to use.

Accurate and complete billing

Many club management software packages do not warn the person who does front desk admittance when a member has missing or invalid billing information. This results in members using the facility without actually paying membership dues and lost revenue for the club owner. Club Manager performs 3 checks for valid billing information:

• When an active member's record is updated.
• When the member gains admittance to the club.
• When the 'Billing Exceptions' report is run.

It is possible that, using the Club Manager Billing Exceptions report, enough billing errors will be found that the software will pay for itself the first time or two that the billing function is used.

The billing function itself is very simple and safe. After verifying that you are sure you want to run the billing, it is run with one button click.

Easy To Customize

Since not all clubs are run the same and certain clubs will need special reports and functionality, Club Manager has been designed to be easily customized for any specific needs you might have. It is also scaleable for larger clubs.

Reliability

Club Manager's simplicity also makes the software very reliable. There are fewer separate files that have to work together than are found in many other club management packages. The system backs itself up every time member data is updated or added.

Security

The full version of Club Manager comes with a device called a "Dongle Key". This is a small device that attaches to the printer port on the back of the computer. Unless this device is attached, only the Front Desk Admittance function is available. This keeps unauthorized persons from viewing a members personal or financial information.

Speed

Front desk admittance is a critical function for any club management software. If the check-in procedure is too slow, members may become impatient and may even stop using the facility. Even though our check-in function includes a check of billing information and loading a member photo (if you choose to use the camera feature) we have taken particular care to make this feature a quick one.
